We built the place we would have wanted to stay in ourselves
Forest Retreat Villas began with a very personal experience.

Over the years, our professional lives were demanding, and living in Bucharest only added to the stress and to a general state of mind that was, frankly, nothing to envy.
The most effective and most accessible way for us to unwind was our stubborn habit of spending almost every weekend in the mountains. Sinaia, where we were both born, was – for sentimental reasons – our first choice. Over time Sinaia became too crowded for us, so we turned our attention to the Zamora neighbourhood in Poiana Țapului / Bușteni, a sunny, quiet area with a delightful view of the Bucegi Mountains and the Caraiman Cross.
Unfortunately, we did not always manage to return to Bucharest more relaxed. There was almost always something: crowded hallways and common areas, noise from other rooms, restaurants that tested our patience, and at times problems with the cleanliness of rooms and bathrooms, the room temperature, the hot water, the parking – or simply too little privacy.
At some point we told ourselves that if we could not find the place we were looking for, perhaps we should build it ourselves.
That is how the Forest Retreat villas were born.
We wanted a small place at the edge of the forest, where peace, nature, comfort and privacy would be a natural part of every stay.
We built spaces for those who come for a few days just as a couple (Villa BRUNO), with family or close friends (Villa ELENA) or in somewhat larger groups (Villa IRIS), to reconnect or to celebrate together.
We hope that here you can slow down a little, enjoy the place and, above all, the people you came with.
For us, true luxury is not about extravagance.
It means finally having time for yourselves and for the people you love.
If, when you leave Forest Retreat Villas, you feel more rested than on the day you arrived, then we have succeeded in building exactly the place we wanted for ourselves.
